Music has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a child, my mom would sing to me, sparking my deep love for music. By 13, I was buying equipment and mastering how to count beats. Before long, I was telling other DJs the BPM of songs. At 14, I started DJing house parties and performing at Calle Ocho in my friend’s store on the roof.
By 15, I was working as a backup DJ at Midway Skating Rink, Salon Azul, and Royal Banquet Hall. My DJ friends snuck me into nightclubs, where I picked up all the tricks of the trade. From parties and weddings to any event that involved music, I was there, setting the vibe.
I also worked at Super Q, running promotions at supermarkets, malls, car dealerships, and more. Eventually, I became the proud owner of Tropical Sounds, and for over 45 years, I’ve been doing what I love—bringing music to life and making every event unforgettable.
I’m a true Miami boy from the ‘80s, an era when all you needed was Disco, Freestyle, Booty Bass, R&B, Salsa, and Merengue. Music is my passion, and there’s no greater feeling than seeing people lose themselves in the rhythm with me!
